Population Statistics Query

The KIC Population Statistics page enables you to create Kansas resident population tables using estimates from the US Census Bureau. Population data are useful in creating age-adjusted and age-specific population based rates. The source for these data is the same as is used in calculating population-based rates in the KIC programs. For 2010, the Census Bureau calculated estimates as of April 1, 2010 instead of the traditional date of July 1. Click here for more details.

Based on the criteria you select, KIC will return a table of Kansas population by year, county, sex, race, and up to 18 age-groups.

For further explanation of all queries, click on KIC Notes and Limitations contains documentation for all KIC and Fast Stats modules. Click here for specific information about population statistics queries.

You can create a table query of population data by any combination of the row or column variables. You can also limit the results to a single category of any other variable. 2010 is the most current year.
